- Courtesy (Ye Ui) -
Showing courtesy to all, performing thoughtful acts, respecting others, having manners as well as maintaining the appropriate etiquette at all times, both within and outside the dojang (training area).
- Integrity (Yom Chi) -
In Taekwondo, integrity means not only to determine what is right or wrong but also having the conscience to feel guilt if one has done wrong and to have the integrity to stand up for what is right.
- Perseverance (In Nae) -
One will try time and time again until a desired result is achieved with the intended goal.
- Self-control (Guk Gi) -
This means to not only have control over one's physical acts but also your own mental thoughts, actions and decisions. Base your decision from rational thought and not simply just reacting on emotion to the moment or situation.
- Indomitable Spirit (Baekjul-Bool Gool) -
To have indomitable spirit means to have the courage to stand up for what you believe in, no matter what odds you are up against, not letting fear cripple your will and judgement and to always give 100% effort in whatever you do.
